A trained hammam attendant, known as a tellak, uses a kessa—a traditional exfoliating glove—to gently scrub the skin to remove dead skin cells effectively without causing irritation.
The final rinse washes away all the foam and impurities, using warm water. After this refreshing cleanse, guests can relax in a cooling room to gradually adjust their body temperature.
